Dispatch the shop
from a map of the shop.
Dealer1 draws your service shop as it really is — drive lanes, bays, the car on each lift and the time left on it — and keeps it current from clock-ins and RO status. Drag a car onto a bay, or let auto-dispatch plan the day and show you why.

How it decides who gets the car.
The same rules a good foreman uses — applied to every job, every time, and shown to you before anything moves.
- 1
Most urgent first
Waiters and promised times go to whoever can finish soonest.
- 2
Only people working today
Approved time off, sick days and published days off are respected. Nobody gets a car on their day off.
- 3
The right skills
Every skill the job needs, and the right type of work. An EV always goes to an EV-certified tech; a hybrid needs hybrid training unless it’s only oil or tires.
- 4
Done before the shift ends
A job only goes to someone who can finish it before their shift ends, plus the overtime you allow.
- 5
Then, fair
The rest is spread by hours already worked today and who’s free soonest.
- 6
You apply it
You see the plan with the reason for every job. Nothing moves until you apply it.
Everything the whiteboard was supposed to do.
Drag to dispatch
Drop a car on a bay and it joins that tech’s line-up — they’re notified. Work someone is clocked in on never moves.
My Bay for techs
Clock in and out, tap “Get my next job,” finish the line and send the car to the wash — from a phone or the iPad in the bay.
Lots out back
Cars nobody has wait in “needs a tech.” Cars waiting on parts park in their own lot. Add your own, like “Windshield.”
Wash bay
Finished cars queue for the wash, and whoever is seated at the wash bay washes. Mark a car “no wash” and it skips it.
Holds and not-on-site
Cars on hold or not here yet wait on the side and never auto-dispatch. Manual holds are lifted by advisors and managers only.
Coming in
Booked cars that haven’t arrived yet, for today and the next few days.
Map or 3D
The same live floor as a top-down plan or in 3D, with every tech acting out the job they’re on.
Lay it out once
Drag bays, alignment racks, wash bays and lots into place, then seat your techs. The setup wizard walks you through it.
Who sees what
Choose what technicians and advisors see — the waiting pool, the whole map, customer names. Managers see everything.
Ask the co-pilot
Ask what the floor looks like, or have it plan the day — the plan still waits for your approval.
One sentence in. Real work out.
These are things the co-pilot does today, inside your own ROs, schedule and inventory. Every change ends on a card like this one — and waits for you.
- 3 cars waiting for a tech
- Checked skills, shifts and who’s clocked in
- Waiter first; the EV needs an EV-certified tech
- Volvo XC90 · oil (waiter)
- → Sam, now
- Tesla Model Y · coolant
- → Jordan (EV cert)
- VW Golf · check engine
- → Priya, after her current car

Questions about the shop floor
Do techs have to do anything new?
They clock in and out on the line, from My Bay on a phone or the iPad in the bay. The floor updates itself from those punches and the RO status — nobody keeps a board current by hand.
Can it dispatch without me?
No. Auto-dispatch builds a plan and shows why each job went where; nothing moves until a manager applies it. Dragging a car is your move, too.
What does auto-dispatch need to know?
Who’s working (from the published schedule and time off), each tech’s skills and certifications, and the sold hours on each job. A tech with no skills set is treated as able to do every job that doesn’t need a certification.
Does it work for the detail department?
Yes. The detail floor is the same screen pointed at detail, with its own bays, people and wash.
Do I need a powerful computer for 3D?
No. The map is a plain web page and works on any device. The 3D view is optional and only loads when you switch to it.
Is it an add-on?
No. The shop floor is included on every plan, with the co-pilot and everything else. Plans differ only by the number of stores and users.
